Senior Developer – C# - C++ - Python - .Net - SQL Server

Responsibilities:
-Design and implement internal data distribution protocols and methodologies to optimize the reliable transfer of all market and proprietary data through the enterprise.
-Develop comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the 29West messaging products and their associated APIs.
-Learn the architecture and implementation of internal Market Data Service (MDS), which provides a common internal format for all exchange data; MDS currently carries data from CME, Eurex, and CBOE, with additional exchanges data to be added in the future.
-Extend the functionality of all internal market data libraries and services which wrap and augment the data services.
-Extend the delivery of market and internal data to the Blackberry as well as to other supported handheld platforms.
-Learn and improve infrastructure monitoring tools and applications in order to assess the correctness and reliability of all new software features and releases.
-Introduce and cultivate automated unit, integration and regression testing practices and methodologies.
-Provide additional technical support to operations or trading groups.
Qualifications:
-Proficient in at least one of the following Languages: C#, C++, Python.
-Minimum 3 years development experience, ideally in proprietary trading or finance.
-A demonstrated ability to learn new technical and software-related skills in a fast-paced, dynamic trading environment.
-Commitment to automating the testing and QA process and familiarity with Test Driven Development.
-Strong problem solving skills.
-Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team environment.
-Ability to successfully manage and coordinate multiple deliverables.
-Good verbal and written communication skills.
-Good organizational skills.
-A demonstrated ability to take ownership of problem identification, analysis, and resolution.
-Punctuality, adaptability, a strong worth ethic, and a passion for success.
-Familiarity with SQL.
